Map the symptom
Record whether staining follows rain, wind direction or another event. Show windows, doors, roof intersections and penetrations above the damaged area in your photos.
Review the connections
Cladding, trim, flashing and the underlying water-management layers work together. Opening a limited area may be necessary to understand an earlier repair or concealed transition.
Separate repair from proof
The written proposal names which details are being corrected and what verification is included. A clean surface photograph alone is not a leak test or a long-term performance record.
Photos help start the review. Access, concealed conditions and required professional review can change the construction scope.
